Christmas Greetings from Inspector Clouseau and me.

Just a reminder of those long gone days when I used to write and draw comic book stories featuring
The Inspector for Novaro publishers. Thought it'd be a nice touch to include him in my Xmas card. I think Inspector Clouseau was my favorite comic book character, even on top of The Pink Panther during my time working in the comics business.

PINK PANTHER Olympic Trading Cards

Two cards published in 1990 by Editorial VID with an Olympic theme. These two were the ones I did.
The rest of the collection featured all the other characters from Vid's comic book titles.

The Genius of Peter Sellers!

Admittedly a very controversial and enigmatic person in private, Peter Sellers was nevertheless, a master of comedy and a fine, versatile actor. His multiple roles in a wide variety of films reveal him to be a prolific and highly talented performer.

THE PINK PANTHER (1964) and its sequels, type-cast Sellers as the bumbling inspector Clouseau; however, his skills reached even further as witnessed by his next to last performance in 1980's BEING THERE.

Gone much too soon and missed by legions of adoring fans, Sellers rightfully earned his place among the pantheon of great film comedians.

Among his many film credits, are THE MOUSE THAT ROARED, THE LADYKILLERS, LOLITA, DR. STRANGELOVE OR: HOW I LEARNED TO STOP WORRYING AND LOVE THE BOMB,

THE PARTY, AFTER THE FOX, THERE'S A GIRL IN MY SOUP, WHAT'S NEW, PUSSYCAT?, CASINO ROYALE, MURDER BY DEATH and of course, the five PINK PANTHER movies.

THE GENIUS OF FRIZ FRELENG!

According to Wikipedia: Isadore "Friz" Freleng, often credited as I. Freleng, was an American animator, cartoonist, director, producer, and composer known for his work on the Warner Bros. Looney Tunes and Merrie Melodies series of cartoons.
Friz was born on August 21, 1906, and during his long and creative career, he gave us some of the most memorable and lovable cartoon characters ever,  like Tweety Pie, Sylvester the cat, Speedy Gonzales, Yosemite Sam, The Pink Panther, The Inspector and many many more!  Long live Friz!

Four of my PINK PANTHER covers in Sweden!

And here we have four of my covers for the PINK PANTHER comic books published in Sweden between 1983 and 1985. The Grand Comics Database has all the information but there is no way of knowing if the inside stories and artwork were mine.  Bummer!

The Gold Key Years

Beep Beep The Road Runner and The Pink Panther kept me busy writing and drawing comic book stories for them during the 70s, 80s and part of the 90s. Thanks to these wonderful characters, I made a comfortable living and gave my son an education. I will always be grateful to the great artists who were responsible in creating them: Friz Freleng, David H. DePatie and Chuck Jones. Somehow, after Dell, Gold Key and Whitman comics disappeared, life has never been the same for me!

THE PINK PANTHER sample covers from the 70s and 80s. (Novaro Publishing)

These are a few of more than 200 Pink Panther comics I did for Novaro during the 70s and 80s.

This was a VID Publishers 1990s reworking of a previous cover I did for Novaro:

Most of my later VID comics were simply recreations of former stories I had done
for NOVARO  before it went bankrupt.
