BRIEF TV AD SNIPPET

One of my sideline activities during the 70s, 80s and part of the 90s, was doing small acting bits in TV commercials and print ads. It was a fun way to earn extra money and I enjoyed it while it lasted.

This is a TV ad from the early 90s that someone recently taped right off the TV screen where I briefly appear donning a Jerry Lewis type haircut. The make-up girl thought I would look funnier that way!

MY THREE MOVIES

I am not an actor but even so, during my life I have participated in several stage plays and TV shows which are all best remain forgotten. However,  my brief career in movies is documented in the IMDb. I didn't have a relevant role in any of these films but  at least my name appears during the end credits roller.

I realize none of these films was a box office success but at least to me, they remain as a record of my fleeting presence in the film industry! And here are some screen grabs from those screen appearances:

HASTA MORIR (1994)

BORRAR DE LA MEMORIA (2010)

NOVARO - EL COLOSO MEXICANO (2017)

The trouble is I am now so famous I can't go anywhere without people instantly ignoring me!

THIS MONTH I AM MARKING MY 20th ANNIVERSARY AS A CARTOONIST WITH EXCELSIOR NEWSPAPER. (2006-2026)

I started back in August 2006 and it's been a long but interesting journey.

Here are some shots of me acting as if I am hard at work at several work stations. The great advantage of being an editorial cartoonist nowadays is that you can work remotely and send your work via email. Before the internet, I had to deliver all my artwork in person every day!

Fake book cover!
Nonetheless, I'm hoping someday I can write my real memoirs
as soon as I have some interesting memoirs to write about!

No, I was never on the TODAY SHOW! However, I did visit the exhibit at Rockefeller Plaza.
It won't be on my resume, though!

A nice little desk at some open house I was visiting.

This was my first drawing board. It served me well for more than 30 years until I had to give it away and replace it with a smaller and more functional desk.
