Almudena, My Dear Beautiful Granddaughter Is Celebrating Her 7th Birthday Today!

Almudena is the loveliest, sweetest and prettiest girl you can ever hope to meet. I love her deeply and she is the youngest of my two only granddaughters.  She loves to read, attending her dance classes, practicing gymnastics and playing board games, among many other interests. My life is brighter and happier since she became part of my family. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MY DEAR ALMUDENA!

Benny Goodman was born on May 30, 1909 and passed away on June 13, 1986. In between, he gave us many years of great big band music, the kind only the King of Swing could play! These were two of my favorite albums back when vinyl was the main way you could listen to recorded music.

Oliver Norvell Hardy was an American comic actor and one half of Laurel and Hardy, the double act that began in the era of silent films and lasted from 1926 to 1957. He appeared with his comedy partner Stan Laurel in 107 short films, feature films, and cameo roles.  He was born January 18, 1892 in Harlem Georgia. Today, we remember his wonderful legacy.
