GOOD NEWS / BAD NEWS

The good news is that, finally, the complete four seasons of THE HUCKLEBERRY HOUND SHOW have been released  after 20 years since the first season premiered on DVD on November 15, 2005. I had been waiting for the missing episodes of this show ever since then and now its here in a great Blu-Ray package looking better than ever thanks to the Warner Archive Collection!

THE BAD NEWS:
Claudia Cardinale passed away on September 23 at 87 years old.
Born and raised in La Goulette, a neighbourhood of Tunis, Cardinale won the "Most Beautiful Italian Girl in Tunisia" competition in 1957, the prize being a trip to Italy, which quickly led to film contracts, due above all to the involvement of producer Franco Cristaldi, who acted as her mentor for a number of years and later married her. After making her debut in a minor role with Egyptian star Omar Sharif in Goha (1958), Cardinale became one of the best-known actresses in Italy, with roles in films such as Rocco and His Brothers (1960), Girl with a Suitcase (1961), Cartouche (1962), The Leopard (1963) and Federico Fellini's 8½ (1963).
From 1963, Cardinale appeared in The Pink Panther opposite David Niven. She went on to appear in the Hollywood films Blindfold (1966), Lost Command (1966), The Professionals (1966), Don't Make Waves (1967) with Tony Curtis, The Hell with Heroes (1968), The Red Tent (1969), A Fine Pair (1968), The Salamander (1981), and the Sergio Leone Western Once Upon a Time in the West (1968), a joint U.S.–Italian production, in which she was praised for her role as a former prostitute opposite Jason Robards, Charles Bronson and Henry Fonda.

ACTING! (An Ongoing Tutorial)

It doesn't take years of practice and learning of techniques to become a consummate thespian.
Just keep your cool, always be focused on your performance and fake it as much as you can even in difficult situations.  But above all, never let your stupidity show!

THE WONDERS OF PHOTOSHOP

I have yet to discover how to use the recent AI technology in my photographs and artwork but mostly thanks to Photoshop, I've been able to transform some of my wildest dreams into images that illustrate what my fantasy world would be like if I could just tweak it a bit and make it all come true!

RAQUEL WELCH / STELLA STEVENS

February may be the month of love and sweethearts but this year it has been particularly harsh with two of my early crushes: Raquel Welch and Stella Stevens, both of whom passed away on this month.

                                                                   RAQUEL WELCH

                                                  (September 5, 1940 - February 15, 2023)

Welch first won attention for her role in Fantastic Voyage (1966), after which she won a contract with 20th Century Fox. They lent her contract to the British studio Hammer Film Productions, for whom she made One Million Years B.C. (1966). Although Welch had only three lines of dialogue in the film, images of her in the doe-skin bikini became best selling posters that turned her into an international sex symbol. She later starred in Bedazzled (1967), Bandolero! (1968), 100 Rifles (1969), Myra Breckinridge (1970), and Hannie Caulder (1971). She made several television variety specials. WIKIPEDIA

STELLA STEVENS
(October 1, 1938 – February 17, 2023)

Stevens began her acting career in 1959 in the film Say One for Me produced by and starring Bing Crosby and appeared in several TV series such as the anthology series Alfred Hitchcock Presents, General Electric Theatre and Bonanza in 1960. She won the 1960 Golden Globe Award for "New Star of the Year".
That year she appeared in three Playboy Pictorials and was named Playmate of the Month for January 1960. She starred in films such as Girls! Girls! Girls! (1962), The Nutty Professor (1963), The Courtship of Eddie's Father (1963), The Silencers (1966), Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows (1968), The Ballad of Cable Hogue (1970), and The Poseidon Adventure (1972).  Stevens subsequently focused more on TV roles, miniseries, and movies including roles in The Love Boat (1977, 1983), Hart to Hart (1979), Newhart (1983), Murder, She Wrote (1985), Magnum, P.I. (1986), Highlander: The Series (1995), and Twenty Good Years (2006). WIKIPEDIA

YESTERDAY, LOVE WAS SUCH AN EASY GAME TO PLAY!

On tour in Guadalajara with actress Irlanda Mora and an unidentified girl, many, many, many years ago! We were appearing with a comedy play in a local night club and we were taping some promo footage for local TV channels to advertise the show.
This photo also proves I've met some women in my time!

A Pretty Girl Is Like A Melody!

A SALUTE TO THE SEXY GIRLS OF ENTERTAINMENT!

Someone said : "If we all had the same taste in women, we'd all be married to the same girl!"

Whether that's true or even possible, it is a fact that we all have different tastes in almost everything, including women.

And as years roll along, I find myself reminiscing about all those beautiful girls of films and television that captured my imagination and became the subject of many a daydream, not only during my youth but well into my autumn years.

So here's a toast to some of those magnificent women and the wonderful dreams they provided me over the years...

(There were a lot more but I won't go into that right now.)
