ANTONIO'S 5TH BIRTHDAY!
My little grandson Antonio is now five years old! He's growing up so fast but I bet all grandparents feel exactly the same about their grandkids! And the very same question keeps popping up: where did all that time go? Well, that's really unimportant. What matters is the time you spend with your grandkids. That's a real and unique blessing and one has to make the most of it! Grandkids give you a totally different perspective about life. Antonio's journey is just beginning and one can only hope one is able to guide him and help him be on his way through life. Happy journey, Antonio! Happy Birthday to you!

Rainy Day in Mexico City...
Okay, so it wasn't raining that much this morning but I didn't let that spoil my cartoon idea, which incidentally, was entirely done using my new Wacom Intuos Tablet!!!

MY NEW WACOM INTUOS TABLET!
Early this year in January I bought a Wacom Intuos Tablet to try and start drawing my cartoons digitally and, after three months of practice, I won't say it's been an exercise in frustration...but it has. I just can't seem to get the hang of it. No matter how hard I try, my lines are squiggly, crooked or shaky and I just can't get the same control and feel I get from drawing directly on paper. But it's been a nice experience and I'm sure I'll keep getting much joy and satisfaction from my new Wacom Intuos Tablet the next time I use it which will be early in January of 2051 I think!

The New Year Black Hole!
Economic uncertainty and Donald Trump taking over the White House are some of the bad omens for 2017, but optimism and lots of good humor are hopefully going to get me through the year!

CHRISTMAS SHOPPING WITH MOBSTER NICK - A selfie...
With the 2016 Christmas Season already upon us, Mobster Nick went out shopping in his own, "special" way. Even while dodging a nasty law officer, Nick had time to take a selfie for all his fans!
Happy Holidays!

ONE WEEK IN LOS ANGELES AND SAN DIEGO WITH MY DAD...
November 7 to November 14 is a week that will live in infamy...
That is the week I traveled with my 90 year-old father to Los Angeles for what was supposed to be a fun-filled excursion, visiting the great tourist attractions and doing some leisurely sightseeing around the LA/San Diego area. The trip took a turn for the worst when dad insisted in doing all the driving himself and, after several heated arguments, the trip became an exercise in endurance. The final result was: one hour in Long Beach, one hour in Coronado, one hour at the Kodak Theater Shops in Hollywood and the rest of the trip spent inside cheapie stores like Big Lots, DD Discounts, The Thrift Store, Dollar Tree and Fallas. But, I figured it was my dad's last trip with me so I decided to just grin and bear it. Hopefully, my dad enjoyed the trip immensely. I sure didn't!
