Dancing was never my strong point but a few days ago, I learned some impromptu Terpsichorean moves worthy of  Fred Astaire, Gene Kelly or John Travolta even, when I slammed a door shut right on my index finger! The pain must have triggered my prancing muscles, for I pirouetted around the room as if I was having a St.Vitus seizure!

When you get to be over 70 and you're single, you realize you are destined to remain basically alone for the rest of your life. Women are not interested in 70 year old guys and you should accept that fact. But do not despair. Thanks to Artificial Intelligence and CGIs, you can enjoy a healthy fake relationship with a non-existent woman! Enjoy yourself...it's later than you think!

BORN ON THIS DAY: OLIVER HARDY (1892-1957)

Oliver Norvell Hardy was an American comic actor and one half of Laurel and Hardy, the double act that began in the era of silent films and lasted from 1926 to 1957. He appeared with his comedy partner Stan Laurel in 107 short films, feature films, and cameo roles.  He was born January 18, 1892 in Harlem Georgia. Today, we remember his wonderful legacy.

Wile E. Coyote, the Road Runner, Laurel & Hardy, the Pink Panther, Inspector Clouseau and Mobster Nick. I began my comic book career with Mobster Nick, The Pink Panther and the Road Runner, spending my days writing and drawing their stories for more than a decade. And my Laurel & Hardy caricatures were featured in six cards I created to celebrate Christmas with the Sons of The Desert film buffs society and which I sent to members from 1977 to 1982.

I am a sucker for Christmas music. I love to listen to the great Yuletide classic songs over and over again, may it be with different artists or even the same version repeatedly. It doesn't matter. I love it! But of course, after the 25th of December, I erase the Xmas playlist and wait for the next year to do it all over again!

Lorenzo, one of my grandsons, is 10 years old today! Here's wishing him all the best now and always!

Oh, and his birthday coincides this year with Thanksgiving Day!

Mr. KELLY'S, Mexico's Classic Hamburger Joint, bids farewell after 5 decades.

 "Hamburguesas Mr. Kelly's", Mexico City's iconic hamburger place since 1972, closes its doors today, Sunday 24, 2024. Only four stores existed at one time and all of them disappeared until just one, over at Insurgentes Avenue remained standing. Today it bids goodbye to its many customers. I used to take my son Ricardo, to the Av. Universidad Branch when he came out of school every other Friday for a family lunch. Great times then, and the hamburgers were delicious!!!  I visited the hamburger joint for the last time on Friday, Dec. 29, 2017, and the hamburgers were still as tasty as ever. Farewell Mr. Kelly's!

NOVEMBER 22, 1963

 THIS HAPPENED 61 YEARS AGO! I was only 12 years old but I remember very well the impact these news had all over the world. We stood up in class and kept one minute in silence, praying for JFK. 

The killer is aprehended...
